1. In a winner take all system, the candidate with the most votes wins the election.

2. In a single members distrct, the voters chosse one representative only.

3. Wasted voters syndrome: your vote counted for nothing.

Reinforcement of moderate and centrist candidates.

Difficult for minor parties to get elected.

Proportinal representation

-An election system in which each party running recieves the poportion of legislative seats corresponding to its proportion of the vote.

Electoral collge: It excists because the framer did not trust the choice of president to a direct vote of the people. Each state legislature is free to determine how to select his electors
